I’m getting used to the breakfasts of porridge and homemade bread, and definitely straightforward. It would be nice to have a bit of milk though, but I’ve not yet found a milkman delivery in my area (yet…). However we’ve run out of homemade soup! Disaster! We do have some salad in the fridge but it’s all wrapped in plastic – the lettuce, cucumber, rocket. My food planning has not quite worked out.
I’m still using my plastic toothbrush and plastic toothpaste tube which is frustrating me a little. However, I've just subscribed to Bristle, a biodegradable toothbrush subscription service. Although the bristles themselves are nylon, there's far less plastic than a regular toothbrush. I'll keep you posted on how it works out. I’ve also looked at tooth cleaning powder recipes, but you need a fair few ingredients for them, and I really don't know where to start finding them. I have discovered that Euthymol comes in an aluminium tube, with only a metal cap, so I've ordered some of that for the time being. Again, I'll let you know what I think of it.
